School Age Program

After a long day in school your child deserves a chance to relax in a comfortable, home-like environment instead of an institutional-style child care facility. Tata’s Home Child Care, LLC school age program provides a comfortable, safe, nurturing, fun place for your child to unwind, play, develop skills, and receive attention from caring adults.

School Age Program Participation

Our school age program provides a safe, nurturing, and fun place for children before and after school, on breaks and during the summer. Children who are 5-12 years old and enrolled in school full days (first grade and up) are considered school age in our program. No additional enrollment is necessary; children naturally progress from preschool to school age activities as they grow and develop.

School Age Program Schedules and Tuition

Tuition costs for our school age program depend on the number of hours your child is in care, as scheduled on your Child Care Contract. Families with siblings enrolled in our program can receive a tuition discount when enrolling a child full time in the school age program. School Age Program - Before/After School Care

Before/After School care is up to three hours per day, five days a week, with a minimum of five hours required each week. Cost: $6.00/hour.

School Age Program - AM/PM Care

AM/PM care consists of up to five hours per day mornings or afternoons. In order to maintain licensed ratios AM/PM schedules may not cross 12 Noon. Cost: $30.00/half day.

School Age Program - Part Time Care

Part time care is up to twenty-four hours per week, including schedules that cross 12 Noon. Cost: $35.00/full day.

School Age Program - Full Time Care

Full time care consists of twenty-five or more hours per week and is eligible for a discount on tuition. Cost: $150.00/week.

School Age Program Policies

Tata’s Home Child Care, LLC school age program is regulated in Michigan, DHS. In addition to the general policies of Tata’s Home Child Care, LLC group Child Care, the school age program is governed by the following policies; which fulfill DHS licensing requirements for school age care in licensed group child care programs:

School Age Program Policy - Alternate Arrival/Release

If parents wish to allow a school age child to leave or arrive at the center unescorted, we must have written authorization file beforehand. To ensure the safety of your child, licensing rules require that school age children who leave the center unescorted must be traveling to home, school or another activity where adult supervision is present.

School-Age Program Policy - Snack

All school age children will be offered an afternoon snack upon arrival from school. School age children will be given the opportunity to help prepare and serve the snack if they wish. School Age Program Policy - Weather-Related Closing

In the event that local schools close due to severe weather, Tata’s Home Child Care, LLC will remain open until parents can safely arrive to pick up their children. Parents are encouraged to pick up their children as soon as possible.
